Twenty-one-year-old Ibrahim Junior Carew has been remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown by Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 on a charge of housebreaking and larceny, contrary to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act, 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, on Tuesday, 13th October 2026, at Thompson Bay, off Wilkinson Road, in the Western Area of Freetown, the defendant allegedly broke into and entered the dwelling house of Benjamin Bassie Sesay with intent to steal.

The items allegedly stolen included a Dell i7 computer, a Focusrite 4i4 sound card, an AKG microphone and other assorted items, with a total stated value of Le52, 458, belonging to Benjamin Bassie Sesay.

When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, no plea was taken, as the matter is proceeding under committal proceedings.

The prosecutor, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sorie Conteh, informed the court that he had served the defendant with copies of the case and inquiry files. Carew, who was not legally represented, confirmed receipt of the documents.

Magistrate Fornah refused bail, citing the seriousness of the alleged offence, and remanded the defendant at the Male Correctional Facility.

The matter was adjourned to 2nd November 2026.
