Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown has adjourned for ruling the case involving three individuals accused of stealing $7,000 from the apartment of Sierra Leonean football star Kei Kamara.
The accused persons, Abubakarr Turay, Fatmata Bangura, and Kadiatu Turay—are facing charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and larceny, contrary to the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the charge sheet, the alleged theft took place on January 15, 2025, at Fadika Drive, Hill Station in Freetown. Prosecutors allege that the accused conspired to steal $7,000 (approximately Le170,100) from Kamara’s apartment.
All three defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges when they appeared in court.
The prosecution, led by Inspector Kadie M. Taylor, has closed its case after calling and examining its witnesses.
Magistrate Jah has therefore adjourned the matter for ruling, which is scheduled for May 12, 2026. Meanwhile, bail for all three accused persons has been extended pending the court’s decision.
