Ibrahim Fofanah, a security guard, has made another appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown, facing two counts of conspiracy and larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, Fofanah is alleged to have, on Saturday, 4th April 2026, at No. 2 Sesay Court, Hill Station, Freetown, conspired with other persons unknown to commit a crime, namely larceny.
The second count further states that on the same date and at the same location, the accused allegedly stole five assorted air conditioners, each valued at 6,500 Leones, amounting to a total of 32,500 Leones. The property is said to belong to Honourable Alhaji Kemeh Sesay.
When the charges were read and explained to the defendant, no plea was taken on either count.
However, Magistrate John Manso Fornah granted bail to the accused in the sum of 40,000 Leones, with one surety in a like sum. The surety is required to be a responsible senior citizen residing in Freetown with a fixed address and must present a valid national identity card for court approval.
The matter has been adjourned to 15th May 2026 for further hearing.
