Magistrate Samuel Koroma has requested the presence of Abu Bakar Kamara a complainant who was defrauded in respect of the above matter in which the prosecutor said the accused has pleaded guilty.
The accused Mohamed Tejan Fonah is before the court for preliminary Investigation for fraudulent Conversation contrary to section 20(iv) (a) of the larceny Act of 1916.
It was alleged on the charge sheet that on Saturday 26th February 2023, Fattah Rahman Street the accused converted to his own use and benefits certain property to wit fifty-seven bags of rice and other properties worth forty-three thousand nine hundred and ninety Leones (Le 43, 990, 00) entrusted to him by complainant Abu Bakar Kamara for the purpose of sale.
Prosecuted by Deputy Superintendent of Police Fatmata Kuyateh the accused pleaded guilty to the charges.
Shortly after the matter was mentioned by the court clerk, the prosecutor informed the Bench about the plea of the accused and further stated that his client was absent due to the ongoing WASSCE examination.
Magistrate Koroma advised the prosecutor to take a date on which the complainant will be available in court as he wish to ask a few questions.
