A 25-year-old businesswoman, Isatu Sannoh, has been remanded at the female correctional facility in Freetown on a one-count charge of fraudulent conversion, contrary to Section 20(1)(iv)(a) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on Sunday, 2 November 2025, at 15 Cape Road, Aberdeen, Western Area, Freetown, the accused allegedly fraudulently converted to her own use or benefit several items entrusted to her by Salamatu Davies for sale. The items included two washing shampoos, one mouthwash, five body scrubs, and other assorted goods, with a total value of Le 14,710.
The charge was read and explained to the defendant; however, no plea was taken as the matter is a committal proceeding.
Prosecutor DPC 18456 Linda Teh informed the court that she had served the defendant with copies of the case file and inquiry documents. The defendant acknowledged receipt of the documents.
Magistrate Jah denied bail, citing the seriousness of the offence. The matter was adjourned to 7 July 2026 for further hearing.
