SLPP Moyamba Executive Meets National Chairman

The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Moyamba District Executive, led by District Chairman Joseph B. Mbogba, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Party’s National Chairman, Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, at the SLPP National Headquarters in Freetown.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Moyamba District Executive to commend the National Chairman for his leadership, vision, commitment, and transformative approach in steering the affairs of the Party.

The delegation reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the National Chairman and the National Executive to strengthen coordination, strategic planning, grassroots engagement, and the implementation of programmes aimed at promoting the progress and unity of the SLPP.

The delegation also used the occasion to extend belated birthday wishes to Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, while recognizing his continued service and dedication to the Party.

In his response, National Chairman Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit and commended District Chairman Joseph B. Mbogba for his leadership. He also thanked members of the District Executive for their continued support and cooperation with their Chairman.

Sir Jimmy briefed the delegation on the new membership registration system, which he said was expected to be launched soon. He encouraged the District Executive to strengthen its internal organization, grassroots mobilization, communication, and engagement structures across the district and its constituencies ahead of the launch.

He emphasized the importance of establishing a well-coordinated structure capable of effectively engaging Party supporters and providing accurate and consistent information when the new membership registration process begins.

The National Chairman further called for stronger unity, peace, discipline, and tranquillity within Moyamba District and its constituencies. He encouraged the delegation to remain committed to the ideals of the SLPP, continue supporting the Party’s leadership, and maintain regular engagement with the National Headquarters whenever necessary.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to stronger coordination, grassroots mobilization, internal cohesion, and the continued progress of the Sierra Leone People’s Party.
