The Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) has achieved an outstanding 87% compliance score in the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) 2024–2028, earning a joint first-place ranking among Agencies, Authorities, and Commissions alongside the Sierra Leone Airport Authority.
SLPHA successfully implemented 20 of the 23 anti-corruption action points* assessed, placing it among the highest-performing public institutions in Sierra Leone. This achievement significantly exceeds the national average compliance rate and underscores the Authority’s strong commitment to transparency, accountability, integrity, and good governance.
The result reflects SLPHA’s unwavering dedication to promoting ethical practices, strengthening institutional accountability, and supporting national efforts to combat corruption.
‘’We commend the Board, Management, and staff for their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of public service and for their valuable contribution to the national fight against corruption,’ NACS said.
Adding that together, they remain committed to building a stronger, more transparent, and accountable port sector that drives sustainable development and public trust in Sierra Leone.
