The Sierra Leone Football Association would like to confirm that the maiden edition of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) U20 Female Football Tournament – Sierra Leone 2023 has been scheduled to take place from Wednesday, May 24 to Monday, May 29 at Southern Arena in the City of Bo.
Four nations; including Senegal, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, and host Sierra Leone have confirmed their participation with the tournament draw scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the Southern Arena Conference Room.
Shooting Starlets in high spirits brace up for their next match Kenema After defeating Bo All-Stars, 6-1, on 19th May 2023 in a friendly encounter as preparation continues ahead of the West Africa Football Union Tournament, to be hosted in Sierra Leone, Sierra Leone U20 Shooting Starlets are geared up for their next opponent Kahunla Queens. The momentum is getting high, and the Shooting Starlets are in readiness to showcase themselves against the Runners-Up of the just concluded Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League at the Kenema Playing Field.
Goal Scorers in the 6-1 victory are Fatmata K. Turay 2, Sallay Turay, Yakonie Bangura, Kadiatu CK Dumbuya, and Juliet Brima 1 goal each).
The Team is in high spirits to get in a good campaign in the maiden edition of the tournament on home soil.
