Twenty-six-year-old Ibrahim Jalloh, a sand miner made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 1 on one count charge of murder contrary to section 1 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 as repealed and replaced by section 1(a) to the Schedule of the Abolition of the Death Penalty Act 2021, Act No.6 of 2022.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused on diverse dates between Tuesday 12th March, 2024 and on Wednesday 13th March 2024, at Upper Vincent Drive Rokel Village, Freetown, murdered Fatmata Kamara.
Due to the unwell condition of the prosecuting witness as stated by police prosecutor Sergeant Mohamed Lahai 9939, the bench could not proceed with the matter.
Consequently, Magistrate Kekura stated that on the next adjourned date if the prosecution did not bring their witness, the matter would be discharged.
Meanwhile, the matter was adjourned to the 2nd of December 2024.
