RAM Kamara FC have defeated reigning champions Mogbwemo Queens 2-1 at the Southern Arena in Bo City to win the 2026–27 SLFA Women’s Unity Cup.

The victory on Saturday, 3 October 2026, saw last season’s runners-up end Mogbwemo Queens’ dominance in the competition and claim their first Unity Cup title.

Fatou Fatty opened the scoring in the 28th minute before Kadiatu G. Kamara doubled RAM Kamara’s lead five minutes later, giving them a commanding 2-0 advantage at half-time.

Mogbwemo Queens returned from the break with renewed intensity and relentless pressure. Their efforts paid off in the 51st minute when RAM Kamara defender Emma JK Kamara scored an own goal to reduce the deficit to 2-1.

RAM Kamara, however, held firm under pressure for the remainder of the match to secure a hard-fought victory and lift the Unity Cup.

The triumph also levels the head-to-head record between the two sides in the competition. Mogbwemo Queens won the inaugural edition, while RAM Kamara have now added their name to the Unity Cup roll of honour.

The Unity Cup final also served as a dress rehearsal for the 2026/27 Marampa Mines Women’s Premier League season, which kicks off next Saturday with matches scheduled across various venues in the country.

RAM Kamara FC will begin their league campaign away from home when they travel to Kenema to face Kahunla Queens FC at the Kenema Town Field.
