The meeting brought together community members with the aim of setting the organization’s objectives and electing key positions to oversee its activities for the upcoming year.

The event commenced with a prayer led by Sheik Alhaji Mohamed Conteh, who read selected portions from the Quran to seek divine guidance and blessings for the success of the organization. He emphasized the importance of unity within the community as the foundation for progress.

Following the prayer, Mohamed Conteh (White) appointed Mohamed Bangura to chair the meeting. Bangura began by facilitating introductions among the attendees and proceeded to outline the objectives of the organization. During the discussion, various members contributed their thoughts, with a shared vision emerging: the primary goal of the organization is to develop the village. After a consensus, it was agreed to suspend individual contributions until after one year to allow for the collective efforts of the organization to take root.

Membership to the organization is open to everyone with familial ties or origin from Masineh, ensuring that the entire community is represented.

The meeting then moved to discussions on the frequency of future meetings. Mohamed Turay suggested that gatherings be held on the last Sunday of every month, while Issa Conteh (Bloffer) raised concerns over transportation challenges, particularly for members in rural areas, proposing that meetings be held every three months. After several suggestions, it was agreed that meetings would take place on the last Sunday of every second month, striking a balance between accessibility and efficiency.

The matter of monthly contributions was then discussed. Alie Conteh (Copter) recommended a contribution of NLe 100 per month, while Issa Conteh suggested a lower amount of NLe 50. Joseph Bangura proposed reducing the amount to NLe 30, highlighting the long-term nature of the initiative. After thorough deliberation, the members reached a consensus on NLe 30 per month as the monthly contribution, with all agreeing to this amount.

The meeting continued with the election of various executive positions. Mohamed Turay was appointed Public Relations Officer, with Mohamed Bangura (Okotho) serving as his deputy.
