FIFA to Introduce Strict New Red Card Rules for Player Conduct at World Cup
FIFA is set to introduce new disciplinary measures starting from the next World Cup, according to reports by @martynziegler.
Under the proposed rules, players who cover their mouths while confronting opponents will receive an automatic red card. In addition, any player who walks off the pitch in protest a referee’s decision will also face immediate dismissal.
The changes are aimed at improving on-field discipline, enhancing transparency, and reducing confrontational behavior during matches.
De Rossi Leads Ostiamare to Historic Serie C Promotion After 35 Years
Italian side Ostiamare have secured promotion to Serie C for the first time in 35 years under the leadership of club owner Daniele De Rossi.
De Rossi, who began his youth career at Ostiamare before becoming a legend at AS Roma, rescued the club from financial collapse and oversaw a major rebuilding project.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, he invested significantly in both the academy and first team, launched new club merchandise, and renovated stadium and training facilities. The club also signed 21 players in the summer transfer window, with an average squad age of 22.5.
“We want to become the third team in the capital after Roma and Lazio,” De Rossi said. The promotion marks a remarkable turnaround for the once-struggling club.
