East End Lions were held to a 1-1 draw by Waterloo FC at the Trade Centre Playing Field, while Kamboi Eagles secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Ports Authority FC in the Leone Rock Premier League on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
At the Trade Centre, East End Lions, popularly known as The Killers, took the lead in the 22nd minute when Alusine Turay finished off a fine assist from Dominic Kargbo.
The home side had an opportunity to extend their advantage before the break after being awarded a penalty in the 39th minute. However, Mohamed Bangura failed to convert from the spot, leaving Waterloo FC within reach of a comeback.
Waterloo FC, nicknamed the Fry Fish Boys, responded strongly after the restart and restored parity in the 50th minute. Saidu Yillah provided the assist for Ibrahim Manica Sesay, who calmly finished to make it 1-1.
Both sides pushed for a winning goal in the closing stages, but neither could find the breakthrough. Sesay was subsequently named Man of the Match for his impressive performance and crucial equalizer.
The draw leaves Waterloo FC with seven points from three matches, while East End Lions have collected two points from two games. The Killers will face Western United in their next fixture.
At the Kenema Town Field, Kamboi Eagles returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ports Authority FC, thanks to a decisive strike from Bockarie Saffa.
The first half was characterized by tactical discipline, with Kamboi Eagles dominating possession and pushing the visitors deep into their own half. However, Ports Authority remained organised defensively, frustrating the home side’s attempts to find an early breakthrough.
Kamboi Eagles came close on two occasions through headers, but Ports Authority goalkeeper Saio Conteh produced important saves to ensure the teams went into the interval level at 0-0.
Eagles coach Ishmael Kallon made tactical adjustments after the break, encouraging his players to push forward as the home supporters urged their team to score.
The breakthrough eventually arrived through Saffa, who reacted quickly to a loose ball following sustained pressure and fired past the Ports Authority goalkeeper to give Kamboi Eagles the lead.
The goal sparked celebrations among the home supporters, but Ports Authority responded by committing more players forward in search of an equaliser.
Their late efforts forced Kamboi Eagles goalkeeper Abu Bakarr Bangura into two crucial saves. The hosts, however, remained disciplined at the back to preserve their advantage and secure all three points.
The victory moves Kamboi Eagles into second position on the league table, providing a timely boost to their campaign.
At the Southern Arena in Bo, defending champions Bo Rangers FC were held to a goalless draw by Bai Bureh Warriors FC, extending their struggle to return to winning ways following last week’s defeat to Wilberforce Strikers FC in Freetown.
Bai Bureh Warriors looked the more threatening side in the first half, creating several promising scoring opportunities but failing to convert them.
Despite playing at home, Bo Rangers struggled to break down a well-organised Bai Bureh Warriors defence and were unable to find the back of the net throughout the encounter.
The result will be disappointing for the defending champions, whose supporters had hoped for a strong response following their previous defeat. Instead, the team had to settle for a point, leaving questions over their recent performances.
Attendance at Bo Rangers’ home matches also appears to be declining, with some supporters expressing dissatisfaction with the team’s displays.
Bai Bureh Warriors defender Capio Bangura was the standout performer, earning the Man of the Match award for his commanding defensive performance.
Bo Rangers will now be under pressure to rediscover their winning form and rebuild confidence among their supporters as the season progresses.
The Leone Rock Premier League’s Match Week Four fixtures will continue next week, with teams across the country seeking valuable points in the ongoing competition.
