The Director General of Sierra Leone Local Content Agency (SLLCA), Fodeba DABOH on Wednesday January 18, 2023 assured Plantain Women’s Association that the Agency will provide capacity building and market linkages for their products.
DG DABOH made this comment when the Agribusiness Association paid a courtesy call on him at the Agency’s office in Freetown. Plantain Women’s Association is based in Kono District.
The purpose of the visit is to familiarize themselves with the work of the agency for further collaboration and promotion, as enshrined in the Local Content Agency Act of 2016.
DG Fodeba Daboh encouraged the Women to transform their plantains into another forms of product thereby adding value to it.
DG DABOH added that the aim of the Agency is to capacitate entrepreneurs and create market linkages.
In introducing the Women to the Director General, the Chairperson and Ground Partner of Commonwealth Business Women Network, Sia Jarieu Bayoh Morsay explained that she has provided several entrepreneurship trainings for over 300 women entrepreneurs in Kono District, noting that women are key players in the transformation of the economy.
