With the help of forty-two development officers, Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) has trained Thirty Thousand, Six Hundred and Fifty-Two participants from One Hundred and Forty-Eight schools in its ambitious Cricket 4 Schools Programme over the course of thirty days.
In the Western Area, the initiative has targeted Fourteen Thousand and Seventy-Nine boys with girls standing at Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred and Seventy-Three. These statistics show a surprise leap in the number of girls taking interest in the sport.
A total number of Ninety-Four secondary schools were reached, putting the primary ones at Fifty-Four.
Beyond the Western Area, the programme aims to target 100,000 participants nationally by 31st December through numerous activities tailored to that need.
