The Head of Media for the Women’s Premier League Board (WPLB), Umu Hassan-King, has confirmed free entry for the second edition of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Women’s Unity Cup clash between reigning champions Mogbwemo Queens and Ram Kamara FC.
The match, a repeat of last year’s final, is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the 6,000-capacity Southern Arena Stadium in Bo City, with kick-off set for 4:15 p.m.
Mogbwemo Queens enter the encounter as reigning Women’s Premier League champions, while Ram Kamara FC finished as runners-up in the last campaign.
Umu Hassan-King urged football fans to attend the match, describing it as an opportunity to witness a highly competitive encounter between two of the leading teams in Sierra Leone women’s football.
“Whether you are a lifelong supporter or a casual fan looking for an electric atmosphere, this is the place to be,” she stated.
She also confirmed that admission to the match will be free, encouraging supporters to arrive early to secure seats and experience the atmosphere at the Southern Arena.
“Come early to grab the best seat, feel the pulse of the crowd, and witness football history in the making,” she said.
Last year’s Women’s Unity Cup final ended in a 1-1 draw after regulation time, before Mogbwemo Queens secured a 7-6 victory on penalties to lift the trophy.
Ram Kamara FC will be seeking to overturn recent results against Mogbwemo Queens, having lost their last three meetings, including a forfeited match that was awarded to Mogbwemo Queens during the second leg of the 2025/26 campaign.
Mogbwemo Queens, meanwhile, have returned to camp ahead of the competition as they prepare to defend their Unity Cup title.
The WPLB has also opened its media accreditation portal for the 2026/27 Women’s Premier League season, with Umu Hassan-King acknowledging the contribution of media professionals to the promotion and coverage of the league.
“Whether you are reporting from the touchline or providing analysis from your desk, we want you on board,” she said.
The 2026/27 Women’s Premier League season will also feature Bamoi Queens from Kambia and JCC FC from the Southern Region. They replace Malema Queens and Ascentonians FC, who were relegated to Division One.
