After a successful two days National Delegate`s Conference of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) staged at the Bintumani International Conference Center, President Julius Maada Bio who also doubles as the Leader and Presidential Flagbearer of the SLPP Party, has on the 9th February 2023, re-appointed Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh as his running mate for the June 24th, 2023 general elections.
In his pronouncement, President Bio reassured delegates that he felt happy to close the delegate`s conference with a clear message that the Sierra Leone People’s Party would win the June 24th 2023 election without run-off.
He added that he premeditatedly chose to have the delegate`s conference before the election so that the entire country would know that they are together as a party and ready to win the June 24th election.
“I am glad that we have made a resolution and we have decided on the path way. I shall lead the battle and I shall win this battle”, he said.
President Bio intimated that happiness, transparency and democracy were actually displayed at the conference. He therefore, expressed optimism and confidence that the SLPP would win the 2023 elections without runoff. He concluded with the official pronouncement declaring Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh as his running mate for the June 24th general election.
Such a glad tidings pronouncement was followed by a boisterous celebration from delegates chanting and dancing for what they described as a thoughtful decision made by the president and leader of the party.
In his joyous acceptance message for his re-appointment as running mate, Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh expressed solemn thanks and appreciation to President Bio for such confidence reposed in him. “I want to say thank you Mr. President for renewing my confidence to run with you”, he said. Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh assured the leader of the party that he would double his effort and commitment in order to help President Bio win the election without run-off. “I have accepted this running mate in good faith”, he reaffirmed.
