24yrs old Abdulai Mustapha Jabbie made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on four count charges ranging from Obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on diverse dates between Wednesday 18th May to 28th July 2022 at Leicester the mountain rural district the western area in Freetown with intent to defraud obtained the sum thirty four million Leones (34, 000,00) from Joseph Omeh Kallon by falsely pretending to own two town lots of land at Gloucester village for sale knowing same to be false.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor offered no evidence against the accused person the fact as charge no available records
The accused person was unrepresented he pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy.
However, Magistrate Gogra due to the plea mitigation by the accused person sentenced the accused person to thirty six Months imprisonment to the male correctional center in Freetown Inspector Musu Edna Kpulun is prosecuting the matter.
