Magistrate Manso John Fornah of the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 2 has remanded 30-year-old auto electrician Amadu Jalloh at the Male Correctional Centre after he was brought before the court on an allegation of larceny.
Jalloh is facing one count of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, it is alleged that in June 2023, at Adonkia, Goderich, Freetown, Jalloh stole a bottle-green Infiniti Jeep, registration number AUK 897, valued at US$7,000 and allegedly belonging to Abubakarr Barrie.
When the charge was read and explained to him, Jalloh pleaded not guilty.
During the proceedings, the prosecution, represented by Sergeant 8811 Wilson, informed the court that Prosecution Witness No. 3 was absent.
In response, Magistrate Fornah ordered the prosecution to serve a subpoena on the absent witness to compel his or her appearance in court.
The Magistrate further warned that the matter could be discharged if the prosecution witness failed to appear.
The case was adjourned to September 14, 2026, for further hearing.
