Vice President Chairs Meeting with Police Leadership to Address Key Challenges

The Hon. Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh today chaired a high-level meeting with the leadership of the Sierra Leone Police at State House, Freetown.

The meeting focused on identifying and addressing key issues affecting the operations and welfare of police personnel across the country.

In his remarks, the Vice President reiterated Government’s commitment to supporting the police as they continue to maintain law and order, protect citizens, and uphold national security. He emphasized that a strong, well-equipped, and motivated police force is critical to achieving peace, stability, and development.

Senior police leadership briefed the Vice President on operational challenges, resource gaps, welfare concerns, and ongoing reforms within the force. They also highlighted progress made in community policing and crime prevention efforts.

The Vice President assured the police leadership of Government’s continued support and directed relevant institutions to fast-track solutions to the most pressing issues raised.

The meeting ended with a renewed commitment to collaboration between Government and the Sierra Leone Police to ensure the safety and security of all Sierra Leoneans.
