VEM Buck Football Club trashed East End Lioness Football Club in their first match at the Parade field in the Central part of Freetown.

 The match marks the first rounds of the Western Area Football Association female (WAFA) playoff group stages qualifiers as four teams will represent the region in the upcoming female Football League in the Country that will commence in May 2022.

Six of the goals came in the first half of play and two goals of the match came in the second half of play.

According the team manager of East End Lioness Football Club, Didi Abu stated that the team officially commenced preparations a week ago, and the squad comprises young female players who were scouted across the country including the Provincial areas. He commended the club’s performance despite the huge defeat against the female side of VEM Buck Football Club which he described as a formidable side over the last three years.

At the Angola field, FC Kallon female team defeated the Sierra Leone Correctional Football club female by two goals to nil, as the results now put FC Kallon female side on good footing ahead of their next match.

At the Police field in Kingtom, the Sierra Leone Police female team defeated Luawa Angel’s football club by (7-0) goals to nil.

The Western Area Football Association playoffs will continue on the 17th of April 2022 at five different venues in Freetown.
