Thirty two years old Kelfala Kamara a plumber and twenty five years old George Macauley a Student made another appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges ranging from Store Breaking and larceny contrary to section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on a date between 1st to 25th August 2022 at No.32 Bendus drive Lumley the western area in Freetown Steal broke and entered into the sweet Mother Gest house store and stole therein assorted items equivalent to the sum of six hundred and ninety two thousand nine hundred and sixty new Leones (692, 960, 00) properties of Alton Bendu whilst in custody of Alvin Bendu.

The charges were read and explained to the accused person on their first appearance.

 No plea was taken by the accused person.

Sergeant 9939 Mohamed Lahai lead Prosecution witness number five Sergeant 8576 Issa Kamara attached at the exhibit office at the Criminal Investigation Department Cid headquarters Pademba Road Freetown said his role and responsibilities are to ensure the safe keeping of all exhibits brought in related to matters that have been reported.

On 2nd September 2022 DPC Bangura U.N attached to the breaking and larceny office at the said office handed over to him assorted computer cables, quantity of Cooking items, five glass plates, ten rolls of bandage, one old multi formats receiver, four resorts bounill, Eleven Ndosie, two bundles of pampas, two cartoons of five air, one cartoon containing rubber cups, four old furniture’s, one old speaker box, one old white and black projector, two cartoons of A4 papers two old laminating machines, twenty old knives, one old brown handle knives and one old printer all exhibit was registered in the court exhibit book against serial number REC145/2022 since the it was in the custody of the police the said items was produce and tendered in court to form part of the court records.

The accused persons were unrepresented.

Meanwhile Magistrate Ngegba adjourned the matter to the 21st March 2023 for further hearing the bail for both accused persons continue.
