The management and artists of the New Vibration Empire (NVE), an entertainment group has donated learning materials to ten primary schools at the New England Ville Community on Friday, 13th January 2023.  The event took place at the John F. Kerry Primary School in New England Ville, the west end of Freetown.

A few people are sensitive to community development as Dr. Jackson Blamo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NVE, who is using his personal resources to sponsor the NVE and at the same time complementing President Bio`s Free and Quality Education (FQE) programme.

After sponsoring the formation of the NVE in May 2021, he is now merging entertainment with education by way of sponsoring the provision of text books, pens and other learning materials to ten primary schools in the New England Ville community.

The children from the ten schools were well seated and focused, prompting a spontaneous admiration by CEO Blamo of the children`s ability to concentrate for quite a considerable amount of time.

Dr. Blamo advised the children to work hard in their academic studies and further admonished them to always listen to the advices of their parents and teachers, and similarly encouraged them to deny anyone who advices them to engage in doing bad things.

“Use the text books to practice and conduct your exercises and assignments at home,” he urged the children.

The NVE CEO struck a clairvoyant tone by telling the children that in the immediate future, they would become members of different important professions, thereby contributing to nation building.

“Some of you will become lawyers, doctors, engineers, astronauts, and even musicians in the near future. With education you will travel overseas, become a minister and even become the president of Sierra Leone,” Dr. Blamo predicted.

He clarified that he was not a philanthropist and could not dictate what could to be done in the community, but pointed out that his humanitarian gesture was driven by the immediate needs of the community.

Dr. Blamo said just like the NVE artists who met him for help to solidify their musical talents, his decision to supply the learning materials to the kids was purely based on the needs of the community, thereby giving  back to the New England Ville Community that has supported the NVE in diverse ways.

He explained that his decision to support developmental activities in the community was not motivated by politics, noting further that his motivation to assist the community was completely apolitical.

Moses Bangura, aka DJ Mix, who is the Organizing Secretary/Public Relations Officer of the NVE said it was high time they as an entertainment label gives back to the community after receiving a lot of good will and support during the formation and launching of the NVE.

Mr. Bangura said as the saying goes, “charity begins at home,” and further noted the NVE is obligated to assist the community where it resides and operates, as according to him, the goodness will be replicated somewhere else later on.

He said whatever benefit they are receiving at the NVE was due to the support rendered by the community, and noted that it was only fit and proper to contribute back to society and to complement the government`s free and quality education programme.

Zainab Kamara a class four pupil of the John F. Kerry primary school said the donation of the learning materials was timely because school has just reopened and she would use the copybook to perform her home work.

The programme was climaxed with a stunning performance by the NVE artists and dancers and the distribution of the learning materials to the pupils.

The following 10 schools are reported to have benefited from the corporate social responsibility of the NVE management and team.
