Glasgow 2026 has marked the 50-day countdown to the Commonwealth Games with the unveiling of a special fleet of branded buses that will help transport athletes, officials and stakeholders during the multi-sport event.

The launch also confirmed First Travel Solutions as an Official Supporter of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and Team Scotland.

The company will provide transport management and mobility services for the Games, ensuring safe and reliable travel for athletes, VIPs and officials while supporting the organisers’ commitment to a more environmentally responsible event.

The partnership was announced alongside Finnie, the official Glasgow 2026 mascot, who features prominently on the buses together with several leading athletes.

Managing Director of First Travel Solutions, Simon Cursio, said the company was proud to play a key role in delivering the Games.

“The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will showcase world-class sport on a global stage, and we are delighted to help keep the Games moving,” he said.

Chief Operating Officer of Glasgow 2026, Jade Gallagher, described the 50-day milestone as a significant moment in preparations for the Games.

She noted that active travel initiatives across Glasgow’s eight-mile corridor of competition venues would reduce the number of vehicles required, with First Travel Solutions helping to support those sustainability goals.

Glasgow will welcome approximately 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories for 11 days of competition when the Commonwealth Games begin later this summer.
