President of the Sierra Leone Tennis Association (SLTA), Andy Bam, has met with representatives of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) to discuss strategies for strengthening tennis development in Sierra Leone.

The meeting brought together Tim Jones, ITF Manager of Participation, World Tennis, and Debbie Kirkwood, Head of Performance and Events.

Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the SLTA and ITF and building a sustainable partnership to promote tennis development across the country.

The meeting also addressed the upcoming Development of National Sports Structure (DNSS) programme, which is scheduled to commence in November 2026.

The ITF welcomed the progress made under the current SLTA leadership and confirmed that its Development Officer for North and West Africa, Amine Ben Makhlouf, will visit Sierra Leone in 2027 to provide further support in strengthening the association’s national structure.

The SLTA said further details would be communicated in due course, reaffirming its commitment to developing and promoting tennis in Sierra Leone.
