The Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) has announced that its Company Secretary, Martin Maada George, Esq., has been recognised as one of the Top 100 Global Innovative Leaders by the Global Center for Innovative Leaders.
The prestigious recognition was conferred during an awards ceremony held in Mauritius, where Mr. George received the honour in absentia in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the legal profession and the maritime sector.
According to SLPHA, Mr. George earned the recognition for his exemplary service as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Courts of Sierra Leone and for more than seven years of dedicated service to the Authority, during which he has consistently demonstrated professionalism, integrity, innovation, and excellence.
The Authority stated that the award reflects Mr. George’s significant contributions to strengthening corporate governance, advancing legal practice, and supporting the growth and transformation of Sierra Leone’s maritime industry.
In congratulating its Company Secretary, SLPHA described the recognition as a testament to his unwavering dedication, exemplary leadership, and commitment to excellence in public service and the maritime sector.
The Authority noted that the international recognition not only celebrates Mr. George’s individual achievements but also highlights the growing contribution of Sierra Leonean professionals to global leadership and innovation across diverse sectors.
