Sierra Leone’s all-rounder George Sesay is topping the bowling chart in the ongoing ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier taking place in Lagos, Nigeria.
In the opening of the Lagos lone-slot Qualifier on Friday, Sierra Leone took on Kenya at the Unilag Oval with the enthusiasm of getting them unsettled via superior bowling power.
In one inning, hefty game-reader George Sesay took five wickets with a bowling economy of 3.35, averaging 5.8. He is topping the first ten prized bowlers, including the Namibians who beat the Junior Yellow-greens of Nigeria by 10 wickets at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) on Friday.
On the batting side, Captain Raymond Coker is securing the second spot among the first ten best batters. In one inning, he made 32 runs, averaging 32.00 with a strike rate of 110.34.
On Saturday, Sierra Leone will take on Namibia after a daunting start against Kenya.
