A joint team of police officers and military personnel from the Harbour Police Division, led by the Local Unit Commander, CSP Fayia David Joshua, and Major A.S. Kamara, conducted a proactive security operation at Gboro Pit in the Moyeba Community on Tuesday, 9 June 2026.
The operation formed part of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and strengthen crime prevention measures within the community.
During the exercise, security personnel demolished several makeshift structures suspected of being used as gathering points by individuals allegedly involved in criminal activities. Authorities said the action was aimed at disrupting criminal operations and creating a safer environment for residents.
Community members welcomed the intervention and commended the police and military for their commitment to maintaining law and order in the area.
Speaking after the operation, CSP Fayia David Joshua encouraged residents to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies by providing timely and credible information that can assist in preventing crime and promoting peace and security within the community.
The Harbour Police Division reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with residents and other stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of all community members.
