Rokupa Community secured a place in the semi-finals of the Approved Schools Promoter (ASSPA) Inter-Community League after defeating defending champions Brima Lane Community 1-0.
Suliman S. Kargbo scored the decisive goal in the 37th minute to send ROKUPA into the last four and end Brima Lane’s title defence.
The match started at a high tempo, with both sides creating opportunities and battling for control. The two goalkeepers were kept busy as they made crucial saves to deny their opponents.
Rokupa eventually broke the deadlock in the 37th minute when Kargbo found the back of the net to give his side the lead.
Brima Lane, despite their quality and experience, struggled to find an equalizer before the break. They made several substitutions in the second half in an attempt to turn the game around.
However, Rokupa’s defence remained organised and resilient, frustrating Brima Lane’s attacking efforts. Samuel Beko and Dominic Conteh both had opportunities to level the score but failed to convert.
Rokupa held on until the final whistle to secure a hard-fought victory and advance to the semi-finals.
They will face either Portee Community or Allen Town Community for a place in the final.
