Julian Awooner Renner Property Manager by Occupation who was assaulted by the complainant Olufemi Syble Boyle Hebron and later made a report but was not taken seriously by the Police, but the complainant went to the Criminal Investigation Department and made a report because he is a businessman.
The matter came up on Monday 13 March 2023, before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Court No 1 on Pademba Road, Freetown.
The accused Julian Awooner Renner is charged on 2 counts of wounding contrary to Section 20 of the offences against the Person Act 1861 and assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to Section 47 of the offences against the Person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on count 1, the accused Julian Awooner Renner on Tuesday 3 January 2023 at No. 9 New Signal Hill Road, Freetown, maliciously wounded Olufemi Syble Boyle Hebron.
Count 2 state that the accused on the same date and place assaulted Olufemi Syble Boyle Hebron in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
When the charges were read to the accused he pleaded not guilty.

In his testimony the complainant said he lives at 14 Signal Hill Road, Freetown, and he is a businessman and recognized the accused 3 years ago.
He also recalled on Tuesday 3th January 2023, he was at home, when a friend of his Husain Fawaz came to visit him, and told him his gate at No.9 Signal Hill Road is opened.
He sent someone to go and check but he went there with his friend Fawaz to make sure what he is saying is the truth.
He met the accused mother and other people.
But he saw other set of people mixing cement in the compound and he also asked them to live.
But he heard a noise saying he is coming, he is coming, he is coming.
Then he saw the accused punch him on his forehead and push him.
The witness told the Court he was injured and after that he made a report at the Congo Cross Police Station and Medical Report was given to him and a comprehensive examination was done on him.
But the medical report was not found in the file and the Prosecutor ASP Ibrahim Mansaray told the Court that he needs a date to have a proper conference with the witness.
On that juncture, the lead defense I.P Mammy Esq. applied for and on behalf of the accused person
Bail granted to the accused in the sum of one hundred thousand Leones, with one surety in like sum, the surety must be employed and to be approved by the DAR.
Matter adjourned to the 21st March 2023.
