The Rank of the Inspector General of Police is the highest rank in the Sierra Leone Police Force , with a sacred autonomous and a fountain of honor accorded to such an enviable position in the Sierra Leone Police Force.
Subsequently, such respect and privileges must be accorded to the wife of the Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police who also doubles as the President of the Sierra Leone Police Wives Association.
The President of the Sierra Leone Police Wives Association, Mrs. Angela Hawa Sovula has on Wednesday 26th January 2022, paid a courtesy call on the Local Unit Commander of Bo East Division CSP Paul Bannister at his Divisional Headquarters in Bo.
Mrs. Angela Hawa Sovula used this opportunity to hobnob with a cross section of the Tasking and Coordinating Group members (TCG) of the said division.
CSP Bannister welcomed Mrs. Sovula to his division and furthered that his division is blessed to host the wife of the Inspector General of Police.
LUC pleaded with Mrs. Sovula for a total forgiveness in relation to the disrespectful behavior exhibited during the first visits of the Inspector General of Police and Mrs Sovula to Bo East division.
The Support Officer of the division ASP Tucker and ASP Barrie expressed similar sentiments and reiterated that such unfortunate situation will not repeat itself.
Responding, Mrs Sovula expressed her profound thanks and appreciation for the concerns expressed by the LUC and his TCG members.
She thanked the TCG members for their thought and recognition.
‘Bo is the home of the IGP and he always think of Bo as his home”, she added.
She maintained that she was really disappointed at the behavior of some of the police personnel in Bo.
“We need one another in all facets of Life, therefore we need to embrace one another as one family”, she stated.
She encouraged all and sundry in a bid to put aside individual differences and embraced one another. “Nobody can tell the future of someone else, so let us learned to respect one another. I will relates these profound messages to the Inspector General of Police in relations to your plead and she had accepted the apologies. As a Christian, forgiveness is key, she concluded.
