Host of musicians in Freetown have registered and signed contracts with Ripsta Culture to perform at the first ever Reggae Faces Festival slated for 13th and 14th November. 

Açcording to Ripsta Culture which is the main organizer of the festival, the deadline for registration and signing of contracts is today Wednesday 13th October. “Please register and sign your contracts now or you will have yourself to blame”, is the message coming from the organiser’s office and the media team formed for the purpose of the festival.

 Rehearsals are about to commence, the media team went on adding that all is going on well as far as the history making Make Sierra Leone Green festival is concerned.  

Sierra Leonean artists from Europe and America as well as Guinea are packing their bags and instruments to join the rehearsals in Freetown. As for DJ Lion, he has promised that what he acquired during his stay in Munich, Germany would be replicated here to make the programme successful. 

The proceeds from the Make Sierra Leone Green festival will be used to plant trees to mitigating against flooding and other climate change effects on the country.

 Mudslide victims in Mile Six are going to be beneficiaries from the proceeds of the show at Kallon Car Park, Aberdeen Beach.  

Meanwhile, Mayor of the Freetown Municipality, Aki -Sawyer has expressed her willingness to grace the festival because of its significance towards society.
