Twenty-two-year-old motorcycle rider, Eric George, has been remanded at the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown for sentencing after pleading guilty to a charge of larceny before Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1.
The accused was charged with one count of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, between 1 March and 30 June 2026, at No. 6 Mount Blue Close, Leicester Village in the Western Area of Freetown, the accused allegedly stole two large cooking pots, five pairs of assorted slippers, two electric irons, and other items, all valued at Le36,500. The stolen items were reported to be the property of Hon. Monyaba Koroma.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused, he pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor, DPC 17649 Brima Kargbo, informed the court that the facts of the case had been established as charged and confirmed that the accused had no previous criminal record.
Magistrate Jah refused bail and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown pending sentencing.
The matter has been adjourned to 22 June 2026 for sentencing.
