Twenty-nine-year-old Alhassan Koroma, a mason, made his first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No. 2 on a charge of malicious damage, contrary to Section 51 of the Malicious Damage Act of 1861.
The charge states that on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Baoma Village, Goderich in the Western Area of Freetown, Koroma maliciously damaged a cement pillar, valued at 445 Leones, which was the property of Tamba Gbolie.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Ballay T., requested a short adjournment to confer with her witness.
Magistrate Bangura granted bail to Koroma in the sum of 2,000 Leones, with one surety in like sum. The surety must produce a valid identity card that shows their address in Freetown. Bail is to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar. The case was adjourned to April 16, 2025.
