The 2025/26 Leone Rock Premier League captured breathtaking moments as Wilberforce Strikers outplayed SLIFA FC, Bo Rangers secured first defeat from a goalkeeping blunder and last season’s champions and runners up East End Lions and Bhantal FC are still searching for their first wins.
A total of 35 goals have been scored in 18 matches played in the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League Season. FC Kallon and Wilberforce Strikers sit 1st and 2nd respectively with 6 points and same goal difference.
Week 2 started off with a 1-0 win for Old Edwardians FC against Abacha City FC. The School Boys took the lead in the 45th minute when the Talent Development Scheme (TDS) graduate, Sammie Jimmy sealed the win from an assist by Ibrahim Fornah.
In Kenama, FC Kallon commanded a 2-0 win margin against Kambio Eagles with a brace by Unisa Dumbuya. The Eagles sit at rock bottom of the league with zero point and no goals from two matches played.
Wilberforce Strikers secured a comfortable win against SLIFA FC as their talisman Randy M. George converted a perfect hat-trick in the first half. SLIFA FC managed to pull one back with a goal from Abdul Aziz Conteh in the 75th minute, but it was not enough to get a comeback.
Bo Rangers suffered a 1-0 defeat to Bollum Stars from a strike by Mohamed S. Sesay in the 68th minute. A statement win from the yellow submarines have moved them to 5th place in the log. Wusum Stars secured a late win from a 90+2 minute free kick from Mohamed Sesay. The Northern Rock were desperate for a win to recover from a 2-0 defeat in their league opening by Wilberforce Strikers.
Mighty Blackpool continue to struggle as they suffered a 2-0 defeat by the visitors Bai Bureh Warriors. With goals from Koliko Prospere Haba and Mohamed Mansaray in the 27th and 85th minutes respectively, the Tis Tas Boys were forced to surrender as they sit 17th place in the league standings.
Star Sports Academy defeated Diamond Stars 2–1 in Koidu Field. The visitors who took the lead in the 35th minute do not waste any time to double their advantage in the 51st minute from a sensational play by the former U17 Captain Alie Ramadan Kabia.
