Koinadugu District Declares Support For President Bio’s Re-Election

During his continuous walking visit across the country, President Juliud Maada Bio has replicated similar visits to Koinadugu District of which Paramount Chiefs, women, Youths, Former strong Members of the APC among others, have all pledged their indelible supports towards President Bio’s re-elections in the June 24th multi-tier elections.

The aspirant for Member of Parliament for constituency 045, Diang Chiefdom,  Feranke Turay, said they are ready to support President Bio to win the June 24th elections without runoff. He added that President Bio had provided them uninterrupted electricity, water supply, education and other social amenities. He said throughout the eleven years rule of the APC, the people of Diang Chiefdom never benefited any development from the APC.

The national chairman of the SLPP Dr. Alex Prince Harding, commended locals of Diang Chiefdom for their support.

 He added that they gave task to President Bio to send pupils in school, provide electricity, water supply, corruption among others, which the President had done perfectly. He said they have presented President Bio to be re-elected for his second term in the June 24th 2023. He added that President Bio had made education as a priority through his Free Quality Education.

Hon. Alpha Kanu, declared to the People of Diang Chiefdom that he had endorsed President Bio’s re-election. He added that more APC Ministers are also set to endorse President Bio’s re-election. He appealed to President Bio to open the Road leading to Diang Chiefdom in his second term of office. Alpha Kanu thanked the APC supporters for openly declaring for SLPP and endorsing President Julius Maada Bio’s re-election.

Former Vice President Victor Bockarie Foh, admonished and welcomed the new converts to the SLPP as he described it as the best move they had ever taken in their lives. He added that their APC government took eleven years in governance but failed to provide a standardized Airport. He added that in less than five years of President Bio’s administration, he had built a brand New Freetown International Airport. He said Dr. Samura Kamara does not have the leadership Charisma to become President of Sierra Leone. He therefore, concluded by appealing to the People of Diang Chiefdom to vote massively for President Bio.

Hon. Dr. Kandeh Yumkella, said he went to accompany another Paramount Chief in the person of President Bio to hand over to the Paramount Chief to vote for President Bio. He made a disclaimer that he did not contest to run for Presidency but to support President’s Bio’s re-elections. He said political violence and thuggery has been the modus operandi of the APC.  He equally welcomed the new converts and described the decision as the best move ever in the history of Sierra Leone.

President Bio said the best asset his administration had given to the people of Diang Chiefdom and Koinadugu District as a whole. He added that the administration had also provided uninterrupted electricity supply in Diang Chiefdom. He commended the magnificent performance of female pupils in terms of education.  He added that he had ruled the country before during the military regime and most of the decision he made at that time, is what is sailing the country now smoothly. He continued that the formation of the alliance is not to just win the election, but he said is to being all political parties to form inclusive governance. He said the people of Diang Chiefdom deserve a better road taking into consideration of the strategic rule Diang plays. He assured that the SLPP with the inclusion of the NGC, APC, C4C and others, is to provide inclusive governance. He appealed to the people of Diang Chiefdom that the SLPP needs all their votes in order to provide more development for the people across Sierra Leone.

“I want to appeal to those   youth who were not opportune to have such developmentally oriented government, this is the time to gain the opportunity to be educated”, he said.

 President Bio expressed that the declaration of hundreds of APC supporters in Koinadugu District was indeed a testament that SLPP is a government of inclusion. He said he promised Koinadugu but Kabala of good roads of which his administration had delivered. He also promised that he promised education which he delivered through the provision of the Free Quality Education. He promised that he would provide uninterrupted electricity to the township of Kabala in his second term in governance.
