SLPP Josephine Jackson has denied allegation of trying to influence the land matter in court in which the Home Building Plus Limited is plaintiff. She claimed to be the party representative of the constituency 110 and member of the lands committee who is trying to protect the interest of his constituent and partisan the headman Septimus Thompson who is an accused in the matter. Court records indicate that Septimus Thompson and five others have allegedly unlawfully trespassed, assaulted, threatened to kill and wounded the manager of Home Building Limited Abeideen Sesay. Hon. Josephine Jackson says the land in questioned has been flagged as state land adding that she has no influence to exert in said matter that is court but will however use her political connection for the Minister of Lands Dr. Turad Senesi to make the necessary clarification on the matter. She said the ministry of Lands was adjudicating the atter when, the headman Thompson was whisked to court based on the litigation of Home Building Plus Limited. The plaintiff Abeideen Sesay conceded that they leased the said land that was granted in the 2012. He added: “We have done extensive work on the land for past fifteen years and embarked on people centered projects in the community until the disruptive conduct of the headman and his group that we have sued.” Abedeen Sesay last night indicated that they are suspicious about the actions of SLPP politician Josephine Jackson in trying to influence the case against them.
