Sierra Leone Under-19 Women’s Cricket Team thumped Lesotho on Monday 26th August 2024 in a massive 97-run win after their earlier grace against Eswatini in the ongoing ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup Africa Division 2 Qualifier in Kigali Rwanda.
The ladies lost their first two matches against Malawi and Kenya on jetlag consideration.
On Monday, the Junior Women’s Patriots posted 151 for the loss of one, retaining nine wickets in 20 overs.
Lesotho could barely chase 152 set as a target; they replied with 54 for five in 20 overs.

The squad consists predominantly of young players. Eight new legs are being introduced with five old ones retained.
The top two teams will join other top five ranked teams plus Zimbabwe and will compete in the Africa Finals at a date yet to be fixed.
