Fitter Sent To Correctional Centre for Malicious Damage

Fitter Osman Mansaray has been sent to the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown for records after pleading guilty to a charge of malicious damage before Magistrate Mustapha Briama Jah of Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 1.

Mansaray is facing one count of malicious damage, contrary to Section 51 of the Malicious Damage Act of 1861.

According to the particulars of the offence, on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Kinghama Road, Western Area, Freetown, Mansaray allegedly maliciously damaged the windscreen, two front-door handle openers, and the right-side reflecting mirror of a Hyundai vehicle with registration number AUS 965.

The damaged items were valued at Le14, 400 and were said to be the property of Isaa Bangura, while the vehicle was in the custody of Saidu Jalloh.

When the charge was read and explained to Mansaray, he pleaded guilty.

Following his plea, Magistrate Jah ordered that Mansaray be sent to the Male Correctional Centre for records. The matter was subsequently adjourned to October 2, 2026, for sentencing.

DPC 182156 Linda Teh is prosecuting the matter.
