As Muslims are in the Holy month of Ramadan, FC Johansen football club in partnership with the UK-based Islamic humanitarian foundation called AID4UMMAH has on the 1st April 2022 commences the distribution of Ramadan Food Aid to various mosques, disabled homes.
These donations are intended to target over 100 beneficiaries across Sierra Leone.
The Humanitarian outreach is borne out of the collaboration between FC Johansen and a UK based Islamic humanitarian foundation, and a total of 250 bags of rice including oil, sugar, Maggie cube, and other assorted items will be distributed in the capital city of Freetown and other mosques and communities around the country.
Ramadan Food Aid is part of FC Johansen’s humanitarian venture to extend their goodwill gestures to people in need, especially to the Muslim community during the Holy month of fasting.
The founder of the club madam Isha Johansen, who is currently attending a FIFA function in Qatar, noted that the donation is all about Humanity through football, adding that it is meant to cushion the effect of the current hardship in the country for some Muslim beneficiaries during Ramadan.
