Seventeen years old Mohamed Kabia, a Farmer, made his first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No.2 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916

According to the particulars of the offense on Friday, 13th September 2024, at the Royal Ark foreign exchange bureau Ogoo farm, the western area in Freetown did steal the sum of fifty-three thousand Leones(53,000) and one Tecno Spark 20 mobile phone valued at two thousand seven hundred Leones all to the total value of fifty-five thousand seven hundred Leones(55,700) property of Royal Ark foreign exchange bureau whilst in the custody of Philip Bockarie Kamara.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused, he pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sorie Conteh, sought a short adjournment date so he could have a proper conference with his witness.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura refused bail and sent the accused to the male correctional facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to October 23rd, 2024.
