At the commissioning of the rehabilitated Special Baby Care Unit at Makeni Regional Hospital, Sierra Leone’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Clinical Services, Mustapha Kabba, applauded medical practitioners for their dedication and contributions to improving health outcomes in the region.
Dr. Kabba emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening the healthcare system and improving the welfare of health workers to enhance service delivery and achieve better results.
Speaking on behalf of mothers, Kadiatu Patricia Kabba expressed appreciation for the quality of care being provided, noting that their babies are receiving proper treatment, which they find highly satisfactory.
“Our country is currently experiencing faster growth in the health sector, which has never been more important than it is now,” Dr. Kabba stated.
The commissioning of the rehabilitated facility marks a significant step toward improving neonatal care and strengthening healthcare services in the region.
