A 46-year-old contractor, Musa Koroma, also known as “Number One”, has made another court appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura at Pademba Road Court No. 8 in Freetown. He is facing seven criminal charges, including Conspiracy to Commit Larceny, six counts of Larceny under Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916, and Malicious Damage under Section 51 of the Malicious Damage Act of 1861.
According to the charge sheet, on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Adonkia Road, Loko Fakia, Goderich in the Western Area of Freetown, the accused conspired with others unknown to commit larceny.
The details of the charges are as follows:
Count 2: The accused allegedly stole Le 3,500, a large coolman, a small coolman, and other assorted items valued at Le 12,620, property of Mohamed Abu Bakarr Jalloh.
Count 3: He allegedly stole a 21-inch smart plasma TV, a black standing fan, and other items valued at Le 5,400, belonging to Amara Mohamed Sheriff.
Count 4: The accused allegedly took a foam mattress, rubber bucket, and other items valued at Le 6,000, the property of Abass Koroma.
Count 5:He allegedly stole four pairs of sneakers (creps), two black backpacks, and other items worth Le 20,750, belonging to Umarr Daboh.
Count 6: The accused reportedly stole a set of cooking pots, a matarodo (grinding tool), and other items valued at Le 450, the property of Aminata Sheriff.
Count 7: He is also accused of maliciously damaging three makeshift structures valued at Le 50,000, property of Foday Osman Daboh.
When the charges were read and explained, no plea was taken from the accused.
Detective Police Constable 14998 Joseph C. Dumbuya, the prosecuting officer, requested a short adjournment to allow for the next prosecution witness to testify.
Magistrate Samura granted the request and adjourned the matter to June 19, 2025. Bail previously granted to the accused remains in effect until the next hearing.
