Newness is what we strive for when the year ends and we tend to embrace opportunities that are up for grabs. It is in the instinctive that we are always aspiring for the better to prove that we are growing and not settling for the mediocre.

This is despite the fact that we were not actually doing badly in the previous year. It is supposed to be an ambitious mindset and this is the idea we espouse at A-Z Multimedia.

In less than one year we have succeeded to publish three editions of a quarterly magazine with a global circulation plan. It is a rarity from a Sierra Leonean magazine production context.

Sensitive and familiar readers of this magazine can in this edition spot a difference; and we are deliberate about identifying that change, if you like.

Take a look at the cover page masthead. Something has been deleted. It is the International Tagline. So it is no longer A-Z Africa  International Magazine but A-Z African Magazine. The reason is to make it more direct to a demographic that is primarily African and to free us from some legal encumbrances with our regulators the Independent Media Commission in Sierra Leone. We are given to accept that the international ascription to masthead requires further registration in another country. We have obliged to redesign without affecting the outlook of projecting local African developmental stories based on themes that are germane to the realities of the moment.

Last we said Secret of Africa Business Success in the Midst of COVID 19. Now we are pursuing a positive angle about the promises the hospitality sector holds in the aftermath of COVID 19.

As we are physically unmasking in receding figure of COVID in Africa, we are witnessing relative increase in touristic travels to shot up Africa economies. We projected it as an issue that must make a cover story and we are gratified that the reality panned out to confirm our editorial judgment.

African leaders have taken the lead in the building of resilience to be where we are now. This could not have been possible without our development partners in the COVAX facility that is dispensing billions in dollars for vaccines administration and connected interventions to position the continent for accelerated development. World Bank, IMF, China, EU, United States, Britain all deserve our kudus.

Of course, a lot of other interesting sub themes have been covered that will show that we are following the major stories from distinct angles.

We have dared to make inroads in South Africa with an editorial desk set up to cover and report stories from SADEC region. The initiative from South Africa to develop vaccines is great news to celebrate as it is an assurance of responding to cries of vaccine inequity.

It is because of that we are reaching out to every serious advertiser to take advantage to do business with us and see the outcome of opportunities that naturally come with it.

Accept our warm best wishes and be assured of our steadfast commitment to projecting Africa as open for business in diverse spheres even as we poised to roll back the globally concerning threats of COVID and Omicron.
