Sierra Leone’s centurion Ibrahim Bangura and his teammate Aliya Kamara are topping the fielding and bowling categories respectively after taming Mozambique to an 8-wicket win on Wednesday in the ongoing ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Division 2 Qualifier in Kigali, Rwanda.

At the Kahanga Oval, Mozambique won the toss. Sizing their opponents sheer strength and looking to penetrate loopholes, they chose to bat, and to that choice, the Junior Patriots squeezed them to 89 runs all out in 23.5 overs.

The reply came at ease; Sierra Leone posted 93 runs in 13 overs, sparing 8 wickets for a dugout reflection. And by eight wickets, the Patriots won.

That is hardly the deal. Sierra Leone is showcasing its perennial strength in the game. Ibrahim Bangura is leading the Fielding category after dismissing 5 batters in three matches while Aliya is holding a firm grip on the bowling side with 8 wickets earned in three ininings to his credit. All this he did for a measured  4.14 bowling economy.
