Sierra Leone Premier League Champions Bo Rangers has suffered a 1-3 defeat to CR Belouizdad of Algeria in the first leg of the CAF TotalEnergies Champions League second preliminary round at the Southern Arena on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
Forward Abu Komeh gave the hosts the lead in the 12th minute, but CR Belouizdad’s Meziane Abderrahmane Ben Tahar equalized in the 42nd minute before the break.
Darfalou increased the visitors’ lead in the 47th minute, and he completed his brace in the 78th minute to put CR Belouizdad in a commanding position.
Alhaji Bade Foray Head Coach of BO Rangers FC confirm that the defeats is due to silly mistakes from his players but’s confidence that they will change the results a positive outcome in the return in Algiers.

Losing 3-1 at home means ‘The Elephants’ must at all means win by a minimum 3-0 away to overturn the result and better their chances of advancing onto the Group stages of the competition for the first time ever.
