Bo Rangers Football Club has called on the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) to expedite the disbursement of their championship prize money, which has been pending for over four months since the conclusion of the Sierra Leone Premier League.
In a letter addressed to the SLFA, the club emphasized the importance of timely payment, highlighting that the delay impacts their financial planning and overall operations. The club noted that the funds are critical for supporting their future endeavors and ensuring smooth management as reigning champions.
“This long overdue payment is crucial for our club’s financial planning and the execution of key projects. We urge the Sierra Leone Football Association to fast-track the process and honor the commitment,” the club stated in the letter.
Bo Rangers’ dominant display earlier this year earned them the Sierra Leone Premier League title and the prize money allocated to the winners. However, the prolonged delay in payment has raised concerns about the efficiency of the football association’s fund disbursement.
Fans and stakeholders of the club are now urging the SLFA to act promptly, ensuring the champions receive their well-deserved reward to help them maintain their momentum and status in Sierra Leonean football.
