Bo Rangers football club has named Abu Bakarr Bangura (Manager Bangs) as their General Secretary.
In his playing time, Abu Bakarr Bangura featured for now defunct Manchester Utd and the Bo Government Secondary School.
He became the Manager of Sea Side Rangers a First Division Team in Bo in 2011 – 2020, appointed as SLPLB Member 2022/23 league season and prior to his appointment, has been a committed Bo Rangers fans at top subscription level.
Manager Bangs has expressed his overwhelming happiness for the appointment and vowed to see the team succeeds.
The club statement on social media reads “please join us in congratulating Mr Abu Bakarr Bangura on his appointment as our new Secretary – General, we extend our warmest wishes and support as he assumes this important role”.
Abu Bakarr Bangura replaced long serving Secretary General Sullay Njai.
The new General Secretary will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the club. Bo Rangers on Friday defeats Ports Authority 3-1 at the Attouga Mini Stadium in Freetown.
