The Courier has been reached out by no less a person but the Chief Executive Officer of the Green Move Online Television Joseph Deemaa, with a horrible audio message purported to have been authored by some ill-advised thugs of the All People’s Congress Party (APC). The content of the audio message has a straight forward threatening remakes to kill the CEO of Green Movement coupled with motherly invectives, and an explicit insightful messages geared towards undermining the country’s hard-earned Fragile Peace and National Security.
Joseph Deemaa happens to be a die-heart supporter of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), who always promotes developmental agenda of the governing SLPP Party through his online Television. The hooligans in the audio are very unhappy with what Joseph Deemaa does of which they said they are patiently awaiting the arrival of the CEO Green Movement into Sierra Leone, in order to execute their premeditated killing especially towards the come 2023 election. They have made a firmed commitment in the audio message to Mutilate CEO of Green Movement to death no sooner he is landed into the Country.
It is obviously seems that those hoodlums who pelted that strong worded threatening remarks and motherly invectives against the CEO of Green Movement, are obviously obsessed with his popular (TGM) online TV projecting the goodies of President Julius Maada Bio. It is very terrifying when listening to that audio message targeted at the CEO Green Movement wherein, horrendous motherly invectives are also directed at the CEO’s mother.
“It is because Adebayo is not calling out your name but I am going to call out your name. You Joseph Deema CEO of Green Movement, we are going to kill you if you come to Sierra Leone ahead of the 2023 election”.
Another worrisome aspect in that ill-disposed audio authored by purported supporters of the All People’s Congress Party, is the vehement commitment made to undermine the country’s hard-earned peace and National Security. The audio is very explicit wherein, a particular anchor is sending a rebellious and insightful message to form a revolutionary movement at the detriment of national peace and security. The tactics of executing such revolutionary moves ahead of 2023 is aptly explained in the audio.
“We are currently holding meetings for you guys towards our revolutionary movement ahead of 2023 elections. This time around our revolution is going to be robust more than the one Foday Sankoh did which led to the eleven years rebel war”.
Therefore, it is of essence to humbly request the intervention of the Sierra Leone Police through the Cyber Unit of the Police, to critically look into the unbearable contents of this audio message and do the needful. The content of the audio in question provides every legal ground to institute legal actions against the unknown ruffians trying to undermine national security. Similar unpatriotic comments were used to come from an authored named Adebayo, inciting and undermining national security. Such uncivilized comments from Adebayo were never treated with seriousness and alacrity not until the sovereign state of Sierra Leone started to metamorphose into a state of anarchy. The sporadic terrorism act especially the Tombo and Makeni civil unrest coupled with April 29th Pademba Road Prison break, were all engineered by social media audio inciting people to rebel against state institutions.
The country only started experiencing normalcy towards such well-orchestrated youth violence especially in the West and the Northern Party of Sierra Leone, when President Bio put all forms of terrorism act under his condemnation. The premeditated planners in their quest to make the state ungovernable became very frightened more especially when President Bio started naming and shaming them as cabals from organized terrorist organization.
Thus, the role of the police and other security sectors is very key here because not only Joseph Deemaa’s life is under threat, but also the fragile peace and national security of the country is seemingly at threat if vehement condemnation and possible legal action is not done against the audio in question. Fortunately enough, the House of Parliament has enacted the Cyber Security Act which could be used to address all forms of cyber bully, cyber security among others. The newly enacted Cyber Security Act will also help to identify and locate folks engaged in cyber security.
