Mohamed Moriba, a politician, former military officer, and Southern Province Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the All People’s Congress (APC), appeared again before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown on a charge of incitement.

According to the particulars of offence, on Saturday, 27 December 2025, at Kamalo Village in the Karina Judicial District, North-East Province, the defendant allegedly created and circulated audio and video content containing inciting messages intended to cause unrest, disorder, and chaos in the country. The material was reportedly published on a TikTok account named “Salone Gossip Hub.”

When the charge was read and explained in court, no plea was taken from the defendant.

The matter was prosecuted by Assistant Superintendent of Police Dillia Wellington, Esq.

Defense counsel E. Bangura and C. Kamara applied for an adjournment to allow time to settle aspects of the case.

Magistrate Fornah refused bail and ordered that the defendant be remanded at the male correctional facility in Freetown. The matter has been adjourned to April 28, 2026, for further proceedings.
